How do I get good product photos for Shopify without a studio?
Pro photography is expensive. Can I shoot decent product photos myself?

Absolutely — most great-looking stores started with DIY photos. The fundamentals: soft natural light (shoot near a big window, avoid direct sun and overhead bulbs), a clean seamless background (white poster board works), a phone on a cheap tripod, and consistent framing across products. Shoot a few angles plus one in-context/lifestyle shot so buyers can picture using it.
Light and consistency matter far more than gear. Edit lightly for accurate color and even exposure, export web-optimized sizes, and keep every product shot in the same style so the catalog looks cohesive. Upgrade to a pro later for hero/campaign images once you have revenue.
