My Shopify app subscriptions are getting expensive — how do I cut them?
I'm paying for a dozen apps every month and it adds up fast. How do I trim without breaking the store?

Audit them by value, not by count. List every app with its monthly cost and ask: does this directly drive revenue or save real time? Cancel the 'installed once and forgot' ones. Then look for overlap — two apps doing similar jobs, or features now built into Shopify (basic email, simple discounts, native subscriptions) that you're paying an app for.
The higher-leverage move: a few app functions that you'll keep forever are sometimes cheaper to rebuild once as a small custom app than to rent monthly indefinitely — especially the simple ones. Do the math on a 2–3 year horizon for your stickiest apps.
